<span style="background-color: white; color: #666666; font-family: "graphik web" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #666666; font-family: "graphik web" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">My husband and I have some friends of ours that have a daughter who went into a diabetic comma. Life had instantly changed for their family. Months of miracles and setbacks took their course. 7 months later Kycie passed away. Josh and Jamie didn't want this to happen to anyone else so they shared and posted everywhere, to help educate everyone to see the signs of Type 1 Diabetes in those they love. If you would like to read her touching story you can find it here - </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #666666; font-family: "graphik web" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">http://www.kissesforkycie.com/ </span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #666666; font-family: "graphik web" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #666666; font-family: "graphik web" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Because of their awareness as I was watching my son go one day from riding his bike sunrise to sundown. Then through then next few days all he could do was lay around and couldn't stop needing to use the restroom. Within a week I knew something was wrong and immediately went online to read more on symptoms because all that kept going through my mind was this sounds so close to what Kycie's mom, Jamie told me. Because of Kycie and her parents we were able to help our son before he was hospitalized. We were truly blessed, and there isn't a day that goes by where I don't say my prayers for Kycie helping my son.</span><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
The weather is definitely getting more cold here! I don't like cold feet at all. My family knows that they should expect me to buy a new pair of slippers every 6 months, to replace the pair I just wore through. So when it gets colder outside, I trade my flats in for my boots. That way I can wear socks, and stay warm! But wearing a boot sometimes without a boot sock is like not wearing underwear. OK, not really, but now you can see how important it is for me to feel warm. I live in Idaho, I should be used to cold temperatures, but I'm not. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So I wanted to really quick make me some new boot socks, I decided to check my fabrics here at my home before going to the store to buy some fabric or some socks. And I DID!! As I was looking through my boxes of scrap fabric, I thought I should share this with you too. I know I am not the only seamstress that has too many boxes of scraps! It took me less than an hour to make 3 pairs of socks. And I didn't spend a dime, because it was all supplies I already had on hand. Who doesn't like free!!??<br />
<br /></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-s-NqCvVJJy0/Vfx0fE5OG-I/AAAAAAAACPI/a2jgQXnu3Qs/s1600/BOOT%2BSOCK%2BTutorial.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-s-NqCvVJJy0/Vfx0fE5OG-I/AAAAAAAACPI/a2jgQXnu3Qs/s400/BOOT%2BSOCK%2BTutorial.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ok, here is the quick tutorial. I kept it simple, I know there can be more ways to make these socks, and probably better ways. But since I was jumping into this project so quickly, I didn't think things through. So what I am sharing with you is what I did, and what worked for me. I know there are a few better ways to do these, but when a sock is free, it is worth just playing around with, right!? If I am missing something in these instructions or you have a question, leave me a message or email me. I hope to add a few new designs I am thinking about as I find the time to make them. So as soon as I do, I will add them here. So make sure to pin this to your Pinterest Board so you can come back for reference. </div>
<br />
<b><u>Step 1.</u></b> <i>Measurements. </i>Measure from your ankle to your knee. Mine was 14".<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-s22UGFOB_D0/Vfxm99whmDI/AAAAAAAACMc/evv0tPdTExU/s1600/091.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-s22UGFOB_D0/Vfxm99whmDI/AAAAAAAACMc/evv0tPdTExU/s320/091.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Measure around the widest part of your calf. Mine was 14" again.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-okGvojmeOrI/Vfxm-IQ3hUI/AAAAAAAACMg/1YHEuPdDdos/s1600/092.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-okGvojmeOrI/Vfxm-IQ3hUI/AAAAAAAACMg/1YHEuPdDdos/s320/092.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Measure around your ankle. Mine was 9".<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lWqLUmGStVg/Vfxm96uEvXI/AAAAAAAACMY/G70MHTg_prE/s1600/093.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lWqLUmGStVg/Vfxm96uEvXI/AAAAAAAACMY/G70MHTg_prE/s320/093.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b><u>Step 2</u></b>. <i>Cutting.</i> I have a diagram right here that will help you. One of my fabrics stretched more than the other 2 so, I ended up trimming it more. So if you find that your socks are too lose, then just cut some more off. Easy fix!<br />
Using the measurements that I took above this is how I cut my fabric out. I cut it on the fold, so that both sides would be identical. <br />
As you can see in the picture that it says cut here when adding lace or trim to sock, make sure you do this if you are adding any kind of extension to the top that you want to show over the top of your boot.<br />
Also in the picture it says to add 6" for the scrunched look. If you look in my photos above of the finished socks, you can see that the colorful pair is scrunched at the top.<br />
The measurement between the ankle and knee is cut at an angle where your ankle will be smaller than your calf, that is why there is an angled cut. In the second picture below I trimmed off that abrupt edge where the angle meets at the calf line. I wanted a softer line there.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kwvQhQrlg3E/VfxnV-6MeVI/AAAAAAAACMw/cTAP7i_WFIU/s1600/094.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kwvQhQrlg3E/VfxnV-6MeVI/AAAAAAAACMw/cTAP7i_WFIU/s320/094.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3Xt8jYEmMGc/VfxnWPwHwMI/AAAAAAAACM0/BwCAkUeFPLQ/s1600/095.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3Xt8jYEmMGc/VfxnWPwHwMI/AAAAAAAACM0/BwCAkUeFPLQ/s320/095.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b><u>Step 3. </u></b> Sew the side seam for the gathered sock. If you are adding lace or trim skip down to step 5.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jhhnEoY2JjY/VfxnWpfD5TI/AAAAAAAACM4/KiVH_bVDayI/s1600/099.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jhhnEoY2JjY/VfxnWpfD5TI/AAAAAAAACM4/KiVH_bVDayI/s320/099.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<b><u>Step 4. </u></b> <i>Optional foot strap.</i> If you are like me and hate when your socks try to creep up your calf as you put your boot on, then you will want to add this step. It is also great to have if your boot socks are kinda lose on your leg, so it is held in place.<br />
<br />
Measure from ankle bone to ankle bone, around the bottom of the foot.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jE805ogbEKc/VfxnhS60RPI/AAAAAAAACNI/ToCxlmqM_Q0/s1600/100.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jE805ogbEKc/VfxnhS60RPI/AAAAAAAACNI/ToCxlmqM_Q0/s320/100.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Cut and sew a strap piece. 2 " wide by the measurement you just took.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-E80hyEZIpj4/VfxnxqTYcZI/AAAAAAAACNQ/ZK1_1KzKFmg/s1600/101.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-E80hyEZIpj4/VfxnxqTYcZI/AAAAAAAACNQ/ZK1_1KzKFmg/s320/101.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<b><u>Step 5. </u></b> <i>Adding Lace or trim. </i> Stitch with an overlock or zig zag stitch the lace to the top of the sock. If your trim is not as stretchy as your knit, than you will want to cut it longer and than ease both pieces into each other as you are sewing. If you are not adding lace to your sock, than skip this step.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4jNSJ5HAa4M/Vfxn1-dyujI/AAAAAAAACNY/2UNgmtbYpbw/s1600/102.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4jNSJ5HAa4M/Vfxn1-dyujI/AAAAAAAACNY/2UNgmtbYpbw/s320/102.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Sew Side Seam.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xE0rA_K8on4/Vfxn2CPs4EI/AAAAAAAACNc/BY0qGBFCUNI/s1600/103.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xE0rA_K8on4/Vfxn2CPs4EI/AAAAAAAACNc/BY0qGBFCUNI/s320/103.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
ALL DONE!! So Easy and quick!! If you are like me, now you don't have to feel bad that you can't knit a pair of boot socks. All you have to do is sew them! And in half the time!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7lfUufzXlmM/VfxoK_qt2jI/AAAAAAAACNo/tHoH7YrcQ-0/s1600/104.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7lfUufzXlmM/VfxoK_qt2jI/AAAAAAAACNo/tHoH7YrcQ-0/s320/104.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Gisha, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">In 2012, our daughter started Kindergarten, we really struggled getting her to focus on
her school work. </span><span style="font-family: Gisha, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">It was always a fight
when we had to sit down and memorize sight words.</span><span style="font-family: Gisha, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"> </span><span style="font-family: Gisha, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">She bounced around and wanted to be moving
every time.</span><span style="font-family: Gisha, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"> </span><span style="font-family: Gisha, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">We wondered if she might
have ADHD or ADD.</span><span style="font-family: Gisha, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"> </span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Gisha","sans-serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Mike
and I have never been fond of medicating our children. So the next best thing was to start looking
into natural ways to help her focus. We
realized so much of it could be what we were feeding her. So we started working better food choices
into the family meal plan and eliminating processed foods. Within weeks, we noticed a big difference in
her attention and hyperactivity level.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">I wanted to quickly stop in and tell all of you that supported my small fundraiser for "Kisses for Kycie" thank you!! I am so humbled to see the love and support that a stranger will give to a family that the don't know. I was able to raise $140.00 from my sewing patterns during the 2 week sale, and I was amazed at those who refused to use the coupon code and paid full price.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #141823; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">Post from Josh - Some days are harder than others. Kycie has a full day starting at 6:30 in the morning until her bath at night. Little sister seems to have had a stomachache all day. This makes her uncomfortable and makes therapy more difficult to tolerate. They push Kycie during therapy and this is good. At times very hard and exhausting pushing that little 5 year old body to its limit. But we know it is good for her and are thankful for compassionately aggressive therapist</span><span class="text_exposed_show" style="background-color: white; color: #141823; display: inline; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">s. Dad is a wimp when it comes to seeing his little girl cry in pain. Mom is granite, Dad is sand. Kycie is doing great. Her Cheer Coach came to visit tonight. When she left Kycie waved (lifted her arm a little) goodbye. My first time seeing her do that. Dealing with new onset T1D can and is difficult. Adding a severe brain injury to the equation is...well...I haven't found the right words yet. This little girl teaches me something every therapy session, every finger prick, every time she looks into my eyes. She is a miracle and does miraculous things each day. The road is long and daunting. But with Him all things are possible. This is possible. I know I'm not supposed to look too far into the future, but I really want to see her off on her first day of Kindergarten. But first, we need to wiggle those toes.</span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Pancakes are a favorite in our house. And so quick to do for a last minute dinner when life got too busy for the day. Since we have tried to eat clean foods, the regular pancake mix that we loved had to be replace. We have tried a bunch of recipes, and I have finally found my absolute favorite!!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So why not go all out and pull the cookies cutters out for Valentines day too!! Just remember when you do it, to use metal cutters, not plastic like I did. <span style="font-size: large;"> OOPS!!</span> I had the heat up too high, and two of my cutters melted a little. I will be smarter next time.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uoX5_h-vgWM/VN5ARUOBRXI/AAAAAAAACEs/rV74XAuSugE/s1600/image2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uoX5_h-vgWM/VN5ARUOBRXI/AAAAAAAACEs/rV74XAuSugE/s1600/image2.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> You can see the pink in the pancakes really well when it is still batter. Once I cooked them, and they browned a little they didn't look as pink.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yhZlP_ECCkU/VN5ATM1r63I/AAAAAAAACE4/40s_0qmCgVA/s1600/image4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yhZlP_ECCkU/VN5ATM1r63I/AAAAAAAACE4/40s_0qmCgVA/s1600/image4.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> But in that case, why not put some greek yogurt on the top and some fresh sliced strawberries. Wouldn't this be so perfect for breakfast in bed!!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Here is the recipe!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Clean Eating Shakeology Pancakes</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; line-height: 19.3199996948242px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="line-height: 19.3199996948242px;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">1 banana</span></span></div>
<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"></span></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">2 eggs</span></span></span></div>
<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">1/2 scoop Tropical Strawberry Shakeology</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">Cinnamon</span><br />
<span style="line-height: 19.3199996948242px;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">Topped with greek yogurt and sfresh sliced strawberries</span></div>
</span></span><br />
<div class="text_exposed_show" style="background-color: white; display: inline; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"></span><br />
<div style="color: #141823; margin-bottom: 6px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Put all ingredients in the blender until well blended. Then pour into pan and flip to cook both sides.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">
</span><div style="color: #141823; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Makes 4 pancakes.</span></div>
<div style="color: #141823; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #141823; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center;">
If you are a <span style="font-size: large;">21 Day Fixer</span> and want to know the breakdown of containers, here you go!</div>
<div style="color: #141823; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center;">
If you eat 2 of the pancakes with only half of a red container of yogurt you will use - </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #674ea7;">1/2 purple</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: red;">1 1/2 red</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #7f6000;">1/2 yellow</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: yellow;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center;">
I am not going to lie either, I am really not a fan of plain greek yogurt. While I do the 21 day fix, I will eat it. But on a day to day I would much rather have the honey flavor. So that is what you see in my picture. If I eat this with plain, I will sprinkle cinnamon on the top since in the 21 Day Fix program, it is a FREE food.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center;">
Here is another idea too!! We made these with Vegan Chocolate Shakeology as well. LOVED IT! We totally scored with this recipe with both flavors. I would love to try it with all the flavors, I think they would all be fabulous! And maybe add a little peanut butter in the Chocolate ones!? What do you think, should I try it with the peanut butter?</div>

I have never been good with my words, and have always tried to keep things short and sweet when I leave my posts. But today I want to make sure you know how special this little girl is.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Our really good friends Josh and Jamie's daughter Kycie is currently in the hospital from a recent Diabetic Coma. Here is the details from their YouCaring site - </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: #f9f6f1; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 23.5200004577637px; text-align: start;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: #f9f6f1; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 23.5200004577637px; text-align: start;">On January 25th, sweet Kycie started complaining of a headache. On Monday she said her tummy hurt and a little later she threw up. Her mom and dad figured she was coming down with the flu. She slept all day Monday. She was giving her sprite and water to help her tummy. She did not want any food. Tuesday there was no change, and her brothers started to complain of stomach aches and sore throats. Jamie took Daxton and Kycie to the doctor on Wednesday. They were given antibiotics for strep throat. By Thursday night, she was worse. On friday they went to the doctor and went to the ER at 1:00pm. By 5:00pm she was life flighted to Primary Children's Hospital with blood sugar of 1148. Her parents had no idea that sweet little Kycie had diabetes! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: #f9f6f1; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 23.5200004577637px; text-align: start;">Enroute to the hospital she had a seizure and another one right when they got to the hospital. She has been unresponsive ever since. At this point her blood sugars are under control. After reviewing her MRI the doctors said that she has extensive damage to the brain. The brain had herniated into the brain stem.They said if she survives to prepare themselves for her to be severely handicapped. They will do another MRI on Tuesday and at that point with decide if they should consider taking her off the breathing machines. </span><br style="background-color: #f9f6f1; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 23.5200004577637px; text-align: start;" /><span style="background-color: #f9f6f1; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 23.5200004577637px; text-align: start;">The family is hoping for a miracle and knows that this little girl's life is in God's hands right now. You can show your support to the Terry family by keeping them in your prayers and donating to help with any financial expenses that they have. Let's join together to support this wonderful family! We love you Kycie! #kissesforkycie</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You know those kind of people that you meet, and you just have an instant attraction to them. Yup, that is Josh and Jamie. Both Mike and I really enjoyed doing things with them, and our kids got along so well. I used to tease Mike that if he could have an affair with Jamie's cooking he would. He would always tell me how great her pumpkin chocolate chip cookies were, or her texas sheet cake. Randomly when I would be having one of those days, Jamie was there for me with a plate of cookies. Yup, I only got a couple, cuz Mike would eat them. It was just knowing that someone was thinking of me that made me feel wonderful. When I needed a shoulder to cry on or laugh on Jamie was there. When we found out that we needed to move away, Jamie and I cried together for a bit, and then she jumped in and helped me with everything I needed.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Josh and Jamie are those friends that are kept for eternity. They would give a shirt of their back for anyone in a heart beat.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It has just broken my heart to see them have to go through this trial in their lives. They have been strong, and have embraced every moment of this. They are true examples to all of us, of who we should become.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I want to help in every way I can. And I know they don't want any cookies that I make, because they won't turn out as good as Jamie's. So I want to donate <span style="font-size: large;">all the proceeds </span>from my PDF Pattern sales to <span style="font-size: large;">Kisses for Kycie</span>. So for each pattern sale, after I pay my fees, I will donate all proceeds. I will keep this fundraiser going from <span style="font-size: large;">today until Saturday, February 21st</span>. If you use<span style="font-size: large;"> coupon code <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/MyTaylorMade?ref=hdr_shop_menu">KISSESFORKYCIE</a></span> at checkout, each pattern will be at 20% off. If you would like to pay full price for the pattern and still donate the funds to Kycie, leave me a note at checkout. I would be happy to forward any note you give me to the family. To purchase a pattern go to my etsy shop <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/MyTaylorMade?ref=hdr_shop_menu">My Taylor Made.</a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I will come back and post here the total amount that was donated to the fund. If you would like to donate more, please visit the YouCaring site that their family and friends have set up for them, by clicking on the photo of Kycie below.</div>

<span style="font-family: HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, 'Lucida Grande', sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">After I had my 4th baby, I was frustrated and hard on myself with how my body looked and felt. I was trying to eat right, and follow clean eating plans. I have always loved to have my "me time" while I workout. And with the clean eating we were instilling in our home, we noticed that our daughter who was struggling in school had better focus. But something was still missing for me. I was trying to take some extra pounds off my body, and nothing was happening. I wanted to learn more, and from an expert. I started to do my homework. I wanted more guidance to be a better example for my family.</span><br />

My husband, kept noticing people post results that they had from doing a Beachbody program. He would show me their results, and then boost me up to give it a try. Lucky for him, I love when he gives me gifts of workout equipment or videos. But he kept encouraging me to buy the full challenge pack program, not just the fitness program alone. I had a hard time trying to do this because of the cost, but I was at the point I needed the extra push. I knew it was just what I needed, so with his support I bought the program.</div>

I bought Beachbody's 21 Day Fix program. And I loved every minute of it. The program came with an amazing eating plan that was so black and white, I didn't even have to question my eating choices. After the 21 days I couldn't believe how much better I felt. I was losing the weight that I never could fight off between any of the kids. I was finding more energy to get my daily tasks done. I was happier and nicer to my family, that is what they keep telling me! With the program I was drinking Shakeology and noticed that if I drank it during the afternoon slump that I usually get, that it was the perfect time to keep me from grabbing the sweets. So now I have it everyday, and don't know what I would do without it. As you can see I have a little mouth that I have to share with. This little guy loves it too, and if I could record his voice so you could hear how he says "Shakeogy", it is so cute!</div>

I was down 13 pounds on day 21. 15 pounds on day 23. And 6 months later I keep my weight down 20 pounds, and staying. It has been an amazing to look in the mirror and be so proud of myself, and who I have become. I wanted to share my success with others and help them achieve their health and fitness goals also. Shortly after finishing the program, I decided to do just that. I did my research in to the company, and watched other coaches. Then decided that it was something I could do! So I did! I have been a fitness and health coach with Beachbody, and helped others see the same kind of results.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I really have been sewing still. I know most of my post lately have been healthy foods or something to do with fitness. But Sewing will always be my release. I will always fall back on it, and take every moment in. Well at least until I break a needle or have to pick out thousands of stitches. Ha, I know I am not the only one who has had that happen. </div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here are a few pictures of a blanket I wanted to share with you. A friend of mine is having a baby, and her sister had sewn the top of this quilt together. They had me do the quilting and the binding. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am still working on the quilting stitches with my sewing machine. So I am no pro with it. But I am pretty proud of how this quilt turned out. I am loving the ombre!!!</div>

<span style="font-size: large;">How do you handle the holiday's? </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Do you eat way more than you should?</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Is it hard to find time to take care of yourself? </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Do you get to busy to workout?</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">YES, YES and YES, for me! </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qhCZ92Siwvs/VL78kW2hhCI/AAAAAAAACBU/Ln2GFmb7ahI/s1600/weight%2Bloss%2Bsilly.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-size: large;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qhCZ92Siwvs/VL78kW2hhCI/AAAAAAAACBU/Ln2GFmb7ahI/s1600/weight%2Bloss%2Bsilly.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Seriously! Life never slows down! So this year I decided to make a change. After losing 20 lbs. in the last 6 months. And finally getting to my goal weight. I didn't want to undo any of that hard work over the holidays.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">So I founds some great friends to join in with me, and we put together a great team! It was amazing, we had some great support, to keep going. I didn't gain one pound over the holidays, and that is not normal for me! </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I put together a group on facebook. Everyone in the group was required to check in daily. Everyone did the daily exercises. With Sunday being the rest day. So we did the first workout on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The second workout on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. And so on.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Everyone did amazing! We talked about some great tips to stay on track for the holidays. Shared some fun recipes. And had am amazing camaraderie!! </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I am so thankful for all the ladies for keeping me on track this year! I wanted to share with my followers what our plan was. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">3 weeks</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">5 minutes a day</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Sundays off</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Sounds easy, huh! Some of these exercises were tough, but we stuck through them. The last challenge, I challanged every one to hold plank for at least 1 minute, but to go as long as they could. It was awesome! Some of the ladies held plank for 3 minutes!!! WOW! AMAZING!</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I am always looking for a great challenge to keep me on track, and someone else who has the same goals. If you think you are up for my next challenge, leave me a comment below or send me an email! You up for a challenge? Do you think you can handle the next challenge? If you give this challenge a try, I want to hear from you too!?</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Last year I found a really yummy recipe for Leek soup through Pinterest. I thought I had pinned it on my board. So when I went to find it this last weekend, it was no where to be found. So I thought I could find it again. But every recipe I looked at had potatoes in it, and I knew it was not the one I was looking for.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So I went off my memory and made it the way I wanted it. I was pleasantly surprised how yummy it was. So I wanted to share the recipe with you. It was a simple soup to put together. It took more time to cook than it did to prepare, which I always love. I am no chef, and never will claim to be. When I was growing up, my brothers would actually tease me about my cooking. But I am slowly learning, and I am thrilled when something turns out so fabulously!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Clean Eating Leak and Carrot Soup</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: large;">3 leeks</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Bunch of Carrots</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: large;">1 bunch of broccoli</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: large;">4 garlic cloves</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: large;">salt and pepper to taste</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Coconut oil or Olive oil</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: large;">1 container Organic Chicken stock</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Instructions:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Chop veggies up in chunks. Place on pan with garlic cloves and sprinkle with coconut oil or olive oil. I used Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, and place chunks of it over the top of the veggies to melt. Then sprinkle over the veggies with salt and pepper.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rxAbi8ocCrg/VLdA3bMlYuI/AAAAAAAAB_4/ORaPOBEPFBA/s1600/058.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rxAbi8ocCrg/VLdA3bMlYuI/AAAAAAAAB_4/ORaPOBEPFBA/s1600/058.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Place in oven. Roast at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes depending on how large your veggies are. The roasting will give the best flavor to the soup! Love it!! Make sure the veggies looks soft when taking out of the oven.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1fURuklHbNQ/VLdA04cHm4I/AAAAAAAAB_w/gbXtFnlddBU/s1600/060.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1fURuklHbNQ/VLdA04cHm4I/AAAAAAAAB_w/gbXtFnlddBU/s1600/060.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Put all the veggies in a blender with Chicken stock. The less chicken stock the thicker the soup will be. The more chicken stock the thinner the soup will be. This is up to you.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Heat soup back up in a pot on the stove until warm. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Eat and Enjoy!! Perfect soup for cold days!!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Did you know that leeks are one of the most healthy foods we can eat? They can help rid our bodies or bad toxins too! Sounds like a great food to add into our diets.</span><br />

Every year when Christmas comes around I am always asking myself how I can teach my kids a more Christ centered Christmas.<br />
<br />
This year I want to help them and myself to understand the true meaning of Christmas and the real magic of it all. Sometimes I worry so much about teaching them and making sure they are doing what they need to be. But am I? I want to lead by example, like the Savior did for me.<br />
<br />
Christmas is such a magical time of year. It can be a busy time of year though. And in that busyness, do we sometimes forget what we are celebrating.<br />
<br />
In my thoughts as I have been thinking about how I need to remember the simple joys of Christ's birth and not get caught up in the pressures. I decided to make this challenge.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-z61QnTW86yk/VHiNQ8JGOZI/AAAAAAAAB-s/YZFStOcdUtw/s1600/image%2B(2).jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-z61QnTW86yk/VHiNQ8JGOZI/AAAAAAAAB-s/YZFStOcdUtw/s1600/image%2B(2).jpeg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande', 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Sans', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 18px; text-align: center;">President Thomas S. Monson said, "Our celebration of Christmas should be a reflection of the love and selflessness taught by the Savior. Giving, not getting, brings to full bloom the Christmas spirit. We feel more kindly one to another. We reach out in love to help those less fortunate. Our hearts are softened. Enemies are forgiven, friends remembered, and God obeyed. The spirit of Christmas illuminates the picture window of the soul, and we look out upon the world’s busy life and become more interested in people than in things. To catch the real meaning of the spirit of Christmas, we need only drop the last syllable, and it becomes the Spirit of Christ."</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9DRAJYhzm90/VHiNSNt6WWI/AAAAAAAAB-0/q76VWTfeKqU/s1600/image%2B(1).jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9DRAJYhzm90/VHiNSNt6WWI/AAAAAAAAB-0/q76VWTfeKqU/s1600/image%2B(1).jpeg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
What was something that I could give the Savior for celebrating his birth. I want to give back. I want to live through his example. What could I give?<br />
<br />

President David O. McKay said, “True happiness comes only by making others happy—the practical application of the Savior’s doctrine of losing one’s life to gain it. In short, the Christmas spirit is the Christ spirit, that makes our hearts glow in brotherly love and friendship and prompts us to kind deeds of service. It is the spirit of the gospel of Jesus Christ, obedience to which will bring ‘peace on earth,’ because it means—good will toward all men.”</div>

Do you get t-shirts that are <span style="font-size: large;">over sized</span>, or just don't give you the fit that you want? Do you wear them, or do you just stuff them in the back of the closet. I always tend to stuff mine in the back of my closet for frumpy days. Because we all have frumpy day's right!? But sometimes there are those t-shirts that I just love, and I want to wear them not feeling frumpy.<br />
<br />
I have had this shirt for 6 months now, and never worn it!<span style="font-size: large;"> I love this shirt, I worked hard for it</span>, and I thought I should show it off. But every time I put it on, it didn't stay on, I changed into something that looked better. If you want to find out what I did to win this shirt, send me a message,<span style="font-size: large;"> you </span>can<span style="font-size: large;"> win </span>it too!<br />
<br />
So I made a <span style="font-size: large;">quick tutorial</span> on how to re-fashion your over sized t-shirts to a regular size. This is a quick easy job. No serger needed. The fabric is knit, and it won't fray. So anyone can do this! It took me an<span style="font-size: large;"> hour</span> to get mine done. I am putting this together quickly, so if you have any questions send me an email or leave a comment below. Some of the pictures are flipped sideways, and messy looking. Sorry for that. I was excited to wear my shirt!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mHWLqpQgpZY/VF70iREYxtI/AAAAAAAAB9c/vSuk5AaAews/s1600/shirt%2Bre%2Bdo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mHWLqpQgpZY/VF70iREYxtI/AAAAAAAAB9c/vSuk5AaAews/s1600/shirt%2Bre%2Bdo.jpg" height="251" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<u><b><span style="font-size: large;">TAKING THE SHIRT APART</span></b></u><br />
1. Because my shirt wasn't to over sized, I needed to take out the hem, so I had plenty of fabric to work with. If you can see in the second picture, I have placed one of my favorite shirts over the top to use as a guide. See step 2 to decide of this is necessary for you to do with your shirt.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mGrkVaMf168/VF7w8_pb2aI/AAAAAAAAB6c/ZGZucakb4E8/s1600/127.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mGrkVaMf168/VF7w8_pb2aI/AAAAAAAAB6c/ZGZucakb4E8/s1600/127.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JN3q-aAAuNk/VF7w7CEGGAI/AAAAAAAAB6U/RjywJE_4uI8/s1600/128.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JN3q-aAAuNk/VF7w7CEGGAI/AAAAAAAAB6U/RjywJE_4uI8/s1600/128.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
2. Cut 2" off the bottom of the shirt. Make sure the hem is not in this. That is why I picked my hem out. my shirt was not long enough. This strip will be used later for the neckline.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SJ-W7h2H2J4/VF7w9-FkvRI/AAAAAAAAB6k/Hso4TqH7924/s1600/129.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SJ-W7h2H2J4/VF7w9-FkvRI/AAAAAAAAB6k/Hso4TqH7924/s1600/129.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
3. Cut the sleeve out of the arm hole. Make sure to take the whole seam out.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-opfBIRsNrrg/VF7xKTSW_8I/AAAAAAAAB6s/U5ET6JyGtDw/s1600/130.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-opfBIRsNrrg/VF7xKTSW_8I/AAAAAAAAB6s/U5ET6JyGtDw/s1600/130.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
4. I have my favorite sleeve laying over the top of the shirt for a guide again. To keep the original hem, lay the guide shirt over top with the hem's matching up, and the top of the sleeve matching up.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ue8O1RhN5LY/VF7ynzkxtAI/AAAAAAAAB8U/ODpGH35suJI/s1600/131.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ue8O1RhN5LY/VF7ynzkxtAI/AAAAAAAAB8U/ODpGH35suJI/s1600/131.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
5. This is where it may look confusing. You are more than welcome to email me with any questions. I needed to use the seamline of the guide shirt on my sleeve. So I folded the shirt out of the way, and cut the excess sleeve off that I didn't need. If you look at the second picture here, it helps pull the idea together. <b>Keep in mind using the guide shirt, you will need to remember to add enough for your seam allowance, or your shirt may become too tight!</b><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qyQNiby2NVQ/VF7xN2SDjXI/AAAAAAAAB60/at9EapWi7jE/s1600/132.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qyQNiby2NVQ/VF7xN2SDjXI/AAAAAAAAB60/at9EapWi7jE/s1600/132.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Cp9zZDp9B4E/VF7xaKXpSEI/AAAAAAAAB68/5kQTj_OmKfg/s1600/133.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Cp9zZDp9B4E/VF7xaKXpSEI/AAAAAAAAB68/5kQTj_OmKfg/s1600/133.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
6. Again I put the guide shirt over top of the shirt. Notice that I have folded both shirts in half so the side seams are together. I wanted to make sure they were the same on both sides, so I would recommend doing this for you. Then cut.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oLNsOj0W33g/VF7xcMPKUAI/AAAAAAAAB7E/5c2c6dxHNnI/s1600/134.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oLNsOj0W33g/VF7xcMPKUAI/AAAAAAAAB7E/5c2c6dxHNnI/s1600/134.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-52ubdkSnXeI/VF7xnG_4l4I/AAAAAAAAB7M/pTbV1TSgKCg/s1600/135.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-52ubdkSnXeI/VF7xnG_4l4I/AAAAAAAAB7M/pTbV1TSgKCg/s1600/135.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
7. Now the shoulders. I trimmed off about 3/4" on the top and curved it down to the arm pit.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xMwJ9VLNiAs/VF7xspHVtaI/AAAAAAAAB7U/gW02zXJWjIo/s1600/136.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xMwJ9VLNiAs/VF7xspHVtaI/AAAAAAAAB7U/gW02zXJWjIo/s1600/136.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
8. Still working on the shoulders. The front of your body and the back of your body are not the same, so I wanted to make a little less ease for the front of the arm hole. <b>So only to the front of the shirt</b>, I cut a little more of an angle.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EVNWNYNVQKE/VF7xx0b5zaI/AAAAAAAAB7c/s44_nD5O27Q/s1600/137.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EVNWNYNVQKE/VF7xx0b5zaI/AAAAAAAAB7c/s44_nD5O27Q/s1600/137.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
9. Neckline. Fold the shirt in half, having the center front and center back of the shirt be the fold line. Cut the neckline off of your shirt, unless you want to keep it the same. I wanted a v neck shirt, so I cut a slight v at the front of the shirt.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Dx5TnQx6ltY/VF7x8_YZghI/AAAAAAAAB7k/2KSNE37gLSs/s1600/138.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Dx5TnQx6ltY/VF7x8_YZghI/AAAAAAAAB7k/2KSNE37gLSs/s1600/138.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<b><u><span style="font-size: large;">PUTTING THE SHIRT BACK TOGETHER!</span></u></b><br />
10. Sew the sleeves into the arm holes with right sides together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MCs1Sj1FlfY/VF7yBosa5PI/AAAAAAAAB7s/jAkPQGf7bbo/s1600/139.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MCs1Sj1FlfY/VF7yBosa5PI/AAAAAAAAB7s/jAkPQGf7bbo/s1600/139.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
11. Sew the side seams with right sides together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--YneLHw1ZpM/VF7yNGEzyXI/AAAAAAAAB70/B9WanCHTKyA/s1600/140.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--YneLHw1ZpM/VF7yNGEzyXI/AAAAAAAAB70/B9WanCHTKyA/s1600/140.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
12. Neckline. Measure the neckline of the shirt. Cut the trim piece you cut off on the beginning to the same length.<br />

<br />
14. Fold the trim in half with wrong sides together.<br />

<br />
15. With the right sides of the trim and the right side of the shirt, sew together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JdEl_NAOMFE/VF7yzHtw2VI/AAAAAAAAB8k/MAWTUC61rxo/s1600/146.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JdEl_NAOMFE/VF7yzHtw2VI/AAAAAAAAB8k/MAWTUC61rxo/s1600/146.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
16. If you chose to sew a v neck also. Sew at an angle on the trim piece down into the seam of the v.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eb6Qpsh0eOY/VF7y34ewwfI/AAAAAAAAB8s/QubGZ6lm41w/s1600/147.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eb6Qpsh0eOY/VF7y34ewwfI/AAAAAAAAB8s/QubGZ6lm41w/s1600/147.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
17. Hem the shirt. I chose to use a double needle. When sewing with knit, you will need a double needle if you do not want your thread to bread every time you put your shirt on. If you do not have a double needle go to this link for help with sewing knit fabrics - http://mytaylormade.blogspot.com/2013/06/sewing-with-knit-fabrics-how-to.html<br />

<br />
18. Stitch around the neckline to give the professional look. Again, I used the double needle.<br />

After trying to have a healthier life style for my family and myself, I have been a little nervous to go into this time of year. Seriously, food is the best in the fall. All the pumpkin and apple pies, loaves of yummy bread, caramel apples, all of that yummy stuff. What is a girl to do when she had a fabulous bowl of soup and bread sticks are staring her right in the face! Right!?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-euDNz7j7vrg/VEqusimLv_I/AAAAAAAAB6E/hVtqvEGgtsc/s1600/zucchini%2Bbread.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-euDNz7j7vrg/VEqusimLv_I/AAAAAAAAB6E/hVtqvEGgtsc/s1600/zucchini%2Bbread.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
So this is what I did, to help myself out a little. After trying a few recipes for zucchini bread that were a little healthier. I couldn't get some of them to rise, or they didn't have any flavor. So I kept trying and kept playing around with a few ingredients. One of the recipes that I tried had used oats in it, and it was so moist. But the flavor wasn't exactly what I wanted. So I knew I wanted oats, but I knew I didn't want enriched flour. So I had posted on facebook to some friends, asking for suggestions on flours. I had quite the response to Almond flour. I felt pretty good about buying it, since I knew the people who had suggested it to me were all fabulous cooks.<br />
<br />
To compare the two flours from what I have learned.<br />
- Enriched flour, usually means that during the processing all the good for you nutrients were stripped out away. Then to top it off, the "enriched" means that the flour has had more processed products, or preservatives put back into it. Because it is so starchy we lose our energy more quickly since it is not being broken up slowly in our bodies.<br />
- Almond flour, is made from raw almonds ground down to a fine texture. A good source of protein, fat, and nutrients. So we feel more full between meals, and keep our energy up.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is the recipe I came up with, and my family truly enjoys!<br />
<br />
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
Clean Eating Zucchini Bread</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
1 cup Almond Flour<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;"><br />1 cup oats (ground)<br />1/4 teaspoon sea salt<br />1/2 teaspoon baking soda<br />1 teaspoon ground cinnamon<br />1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg<br />1/4 teaspoons ground ginger<br />Dash ground cloves<br />1/4 cup olive oil or coconut oil<br />1/2 cup raw honey<br />2 large eggs<br />1 1/2 cups puree zucchini</span></div>
<div class="text_exposed_show" style="background-color: white; color: #141823; display: inline; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
Preheat oven to 350<br />
Grease and flour bread pan.<br />
Combine all ingredients in mixer.<br />
Pour the batter into your baking pan, and bake for about 60 min or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean.<br />
Cool, slice and enjoy!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Why do we think healthy snacks are more work than unhealthy snacks. We always grab a bag of potato chips, or a candy bar at the gas station thinking that is all we have time for. Our days are busy, we all have the weight of the world on our shoulders. If it is running kids around, working 2 jobs, taking care of animals, or just just being one of those sweet spirits that just can't say no and does it all! So I wanted to put together some of<span style="font-size: large;"> my favorite snacks</span> that I take as I am running around. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am color coding these snacks for those of you that love the 21 day fix program. If you don't know what the 21 day fix program is, send me a message. I would love to fill you in! There are so many more ideas out there. I wanted to show you what works for me, and to see how easy it is to <span style="font-size: large;">have something healthy and something quick</span> at the same time. Who said we can't have it all! I want it all! So here are my favorites!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: yellow; font-size: large;"><b>Yellow Container -</b></span> This can be the easiest to grab on the go, but remember you don't get very many of these in the day.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
small whole wheat tortilla</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
air popped popcorn</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
small whole grain crackers</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: blue; font-size: large;"><b>Blue Container - </b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Almonds</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Cashews</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Mozzerella cheese stick</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><span style="color: orange;">Orange Container -</span><span style="color: #b45f06;"> </span></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Peanuts</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These are all easy to mix and match too. If you wanted you could dip the fruit in the yogurt. Or put some peanut butter on the crackers. My kids are always running out of the house with a few crackers smothered in Peanut Butter. <span style="font-size: large;">You don't have to make any of this complicated at all! The key is to just do it! Did you know that healthy people, not skinny people, will eat the same foods and just rotate through them. They know what works for them, so they don't change it!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So don't forget to have your containers ready to go for the day, or just throw your goodies in a baggie! No need to stop at the drive through, or gas station. Most importantly though,<span style="font-size: large;"> don't forget your water!!</span> You need to be drinking half your body weigh in ounces. Take your water with you. I have found that if I am hungry and know that it is a snacky hungry that I just need to catch up on my water. So I will drink a glass of water and feel so much better, and proud of myself for not grabbing that yummy cookie I have laying around for the kids.</div>

<div>
I have decided lately to take more time for myself! I had been spending too much time worrying about the next great pattern, and ignoring myself and my family. I had mentioned in a post earlier this year, that I need to take some time away from my sewing machine to focus more on my family. Well I did that, and loved it! I have really enjoyed my kids, and we have spent some great time together. I still have been sewing, but only a few custom orders for people, and for my kids and myself. I don't think I could ever stop sewing, I love it too much. I feel relaxed while I am sewing.</div>

<div>
Anyway, to get to my point of why I decided to post today. I am so excited, that I have been feeling so wonderful for the past year. My husband and I have been doing our homework to learn what is in foods and what we should and shouldn't be eating. I had heard some of the most fabulous transformation stories from people. I am so impressed my what I have learned! So our family has been trying to eat clean for the past year. Sometimes it is hard not to pull something out that is processed, but I can say that I have very little processed foods in my home now.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I am continuing to learn more about eating clean, and I also feel like I know enough to be able to help someone else wanting to eat better too. So I thought that why not do this with friends! <span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I am going to start a challenge on facebook for anyone that wants to join in!? </span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;">1<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;"> WEEK OF CLEAN EATING!</span></span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: x-small; line-height: 20px;"> </span><span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">We will share recipes, ideas, information and facts about foods, eating clean, It will be the perfect place to motivate each other, share challenges and triumphs. I am always asking for testers, but this time I got to be a tester!! This was so much fun, I loved this chance to make this top for Rachel with Golden Rippy. Not very often do I get time to sew for myself. Getting the pictures after I had made this was the hard part though. I tried to get my kids to take pictures for me, but hello double chin! I found one that they had taken that showed the top good so you could see without fingers or sunlight in the way. So then I ran over to my good friends house and had her take one for you. That way you could get a good picture of how the top turned out.</div>

With great instructions and such a quick sew, I was so proud of how my top turned out. The Delilah top comes with two embelishment options. I chose to use the bow option and place it over my right shoulder. If you would like to see the other option, please stop by <a href="http://goldenrippy.com/product/delilah/">Golden Rippy's Shop</a>.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think this top would be perfect for a beginner to learn to sew on knit fabric. It a fun quick sewing project that can be made in a day, and worn the next! I made my top back in June, and I have worn it a bunch of times since. I have had so many compliments on it everytime! Gotta love the attention when we look good, right! My daughter really love this shirt, so I am thinking I will need to be making the girls version, <a href="http://goldenrippy.com/product/dahlia-top/">Dahlia</a>, very soon. Make sure to stop by and check out the <a href="http://goldenrippy.com/">Golden Rippy blog</a>. Rachel has recipies, tutorials, and more patterns to share!!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Are you a stalker of My Taylor Made sewing patterns? Do you want new Stalkings for Christmas this year? Are you a sucker for contests? And do you want to win free sewing patterns from a bunch of designers?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
IF so, here's the plan: Choose a designer or a pattern you love, one that
speaks to you, one that moves you, one that inspires you. Then, take our
<a href="http://patternrevolution.com/blog/2013/11/19/free-cuffed-stocking-pattern" target="_blank">FREE STOCKING PATTERN</a> and
put the two together. How? You figure it out. Turn your stocking into a
love song for Ellie Inspired. Sew up a message in a bottle for Tie Dye
Diva. Compose a handmade, heartfelt sonnet for Foo Foo Threads. <span> The only tools you need are your imagination, your sewing machine, and the stocking pattern. You can read more about the contest here - </span></div>

<span>More great news for you. <span style="font-size: large;"> All patterns in my shop will be 50% off all day on Black Friday</span>. <div style="text-align: center;">
When I joined a Facebook group for designers, I was so excited to be able to work with other designers. It is kinda intimidating to see how much talent is in this group. Seriously! Amazing ladies!! One day Andrea Panell suggested that we put together a challenge. A challenge to get all of us to break out of the box. Design something new, that may be a challenge to us. So here is the list of designers and their release dates for the Challenge.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" border="0" height="660" id="Image-Maps_2201311141723166" src="http://theeverydaymama.files.wordpress.com/2013/11/listblack.jpg" usemap="#Image-Maps_2201311141723166" width="600" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I of course thought what a great idea to be one of the first and get it done. Well I kinda ran into a snag this weekend, and found out the pattern that I had hoped to use in this release was perfect. But with a snag, I have decided that I better fix it first. I hate to rush and not have it right. But I do have a pattern in my shop that I feel is perfect for this challenge. I would have to say it was the most challenging pattern that I have ever made. It took me the longest to get this pattern right. I'm not gonna lie, it actually took me almost a year to get it right. But I am so excited to have it out in my shop this last April!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
With this Designers Challenge I was taken out of my comfort zone the most with the <span style="font-size: large;">Tyler Overall</span>! I will be offering the Tyler Overall for 1/2 off for All of Monday and Tuesday. Make sure to grab it now. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Use Coupon Code PANT12 to get it 1/2off!!</span> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Overalls are perfect for everything,right! Every boy needs a pair, they
just look so cute in them. Great for baby pictures, just to wear out
and about, and of course to just be a boy and play in the mud. I would
love to see this made in a pink denim too, for that sweet little
princess.<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Pattern comes in sizes 3 month to 24 month</span>.<br />
<span style="font-size: small;">More Great news! If you would like to get this pattern for free, make sure to stop by Pattern Revolution and enter the drawing. Robin will have a drawing for each designer when they release their patterns, make sure to stop in each day for a new pattern. </span><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
Yeah! I am so excited! I get to be a judge in a costume contest!! A good friend of mine, who I meet here on the internet has recently started designing sewing patterns. I am so excited for her. I have to tell you a little about Frances. She is a busy homeschooling mom to her son and her daughter. After supporting her husband with his busy job, she makes sure to make the time for sewing and pattern making. Frances is definitely a go getter!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now to tell you about the contest. Frances just finished her 2nd pattern and <span style="font-size: small;">has her test group holding a contest to determine the
uniform that most closely resembles the actual uniforms worn by the
players. The prize is a $25.00 gift card to JoAnn Fabrics. The winner
will also choose any item up to $35.00 from </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/sonjayugoslovenka" target="_blank">https://www.etsy.com/shop/sonjayugoslovenka</a></span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;">Here is a picture of the newest pattern. I have downloaded mine and as soon as I get some orders out, I plan on getting started on a dress for my daughter. I can't wait!</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;">Doesn't it look like the uniforms in "A League of Their Own!!!" So Cute!</span></div>

It is always exciting to add a new pattern for the little boys! This pattern is for a simple vest. No button holes, no buttons or snaps. Just quick simple steps. Can be sewn using a sweater knit, basic knit fabric, jersey knit, if the fabric has stretch it can be used. My son even thinks that this could be a tank top pattern too. Great for all occasions! Sizes available will be 12month to 12 years. I think this sweater would be great for the Holidays in a sweater knit with a tie underneath. I love the cute little boys all dressed up!</div>

I am in need of pattern testers!! I am looking for 4 people to test
this pattern for me. If you would like to test this please
follow the
giveaway instructions below. Here's the deal for you. You get the <span style="font-size: small;">pattern for free</span>.
I only ask that you are able to sew the dress within a week of me
emailing it to you, and give me any comments or suggestions you may
have. I will attach a comment form for you. To select the entrants I will do a drawing through Rafflecopter. Then I will check to make sure all entrants are able to test different sizes. If you have any reason that you think you may not be able to get
it sewn in time, please do not enter the raffle, I do need this done in time. As soon as you have
tested the sewing pattern as a thank you to you for your help, I will
send you <span style="font-size: small;">another free sewing pattern of your choice</span> from my shop. Here is a link to my shop to check it out - https://www.etsy.com/shop/mytaylormade</div>

If you have been following my blog for a while, you have seen these pictures before. I thought I would share with you a quick, easy, and cheap way to make a fun Halloween costume for the kiddos this year. When I made these costumes I was really concerned to have costumes that were warm and could have a coat worn underneath. Sometimes the saddest part of Halloween is when they have to wear a coat over top a costume. </div>

I had fun making these costume. I loved how quick and easy they were for me to make. Any animal can be made with these.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It is a really simple costume to make and can be done in a day of it doesn't have a ton of detail. I wish I had thought to put it in a tutorial for you with pictures, so sorry. If I get the chance to make another one, I will share my secrets with you!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
All it is is a yard of felt fabric with elastic around the top for the neck, arm holes on each side, and some of them have elastic at the bottom to make it more round. When I added the eyes I drew them out on paper first to make sure I liked them. When I sewed the eyes, and noses on I added stuffing inside to give it a fun bubble look.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I was supper happy with these, and how they turned out. Anything to make a child happy on such a fun day! </div>
